Built Up Roofing BUR
· Built–Up Roofing Membranes (BUR)
With Built-Up roofing systems, the highly reliable waterproof membrane is field fabricated with layers of bitumen, alternating with plies of reinforcing felts. The redundant layers give it exceptional resistance to water and weather.
Single Ply Roofing
· EPDM: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer.
EPDM roofing systems provide excellent UV and weather resistance as well as sheet flexibility and high elongation. Systems can be installed fully adhered, mechanically fastened or ballasted.
· TPO
The current membrane formulations are reinforced with a polyester fabric and manufactured using an ultraviolet-resistant thermoplastic polyolefin formulation. TPO comes in several thicknesses. It is designed for use in mechanically fastened and adhered roofing applications in new, re-roof and re-cover roof constructions. It is fire and chemical resistant and contains UV inhibitors for added longevity.
· PVC
PVC, or polyvinyl chloride membrane, is similar in look and application to TPO as it also has heat weld seams. It has been known to be highly resistant to chemicals such as acids, bases, restaurant oils and greases. PVC’s are available in thicknesses. It provides excellent weathering characteristics, high tensile strength and long-term flexibility. It also exhibits excellent resistance to harsh chemicals and industrial pollutants.
